The Definition: The Educational School Climate Survey (EDSCLS) is a state-supported, research-based tool designed to measure the conditions for learning in our schools. It captures the perceptions of our students, parents/caregivers, and staff regarding the school environment.

Why It Matters: High-quality school climate data is critical for district leadership and school building teams to:
-
Understand the day-to-day experiences of our school community.

Make data-driven decisions regarding school safety, social-emotional learning, and resource allocation.
-
Monitor our progress toward our District Strategic Plan goals.
-
Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming environment for all Greenburgh students.
-
-
Dates: The survey will be open from 5/4/2026 through 5/29/2026
-
Who Should Participate: Students (Grades 5-12), all parents/guardians, and all district staff (Instructional and Non-instructional).
-
