Homecoming is a century-old tradition that began with colleges inviting alumni back to for football games and other festivities and was quickly adopted by high schools. Today it remains a moment in time when alumni of all ages return to their alma mater to stroll down memory lane. At this year’s WMHS Homecoming, the Class of 1974 gathered for their 50th reunion, celebrating life-long friendships and the place that helped propel them into adulthood.
Homecoming games and Spirit Week activities were also held last week, culminating in Falcon Fest and the football game on Saturday. The team, which proudly debuted their new uniforms, was cheered on by the marching band, Cheer Squad, and the Dancing Falconettes. Although the team didn’t walk away with the ‘W’ at this rain-soaked game, the Woodlands spirit shined through. Thank you to all who came to show their support!
