Did you know that nearly ⅓ of the WHS Class of 2024 graduates pursued the prestigious New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB)? These scholars of language distinction were our largest cohort to successfully navigate the process since 2023, the first year it was offered to Woodlands students.
NYSSB is a recognition awarded by the New York State Education Department to students who have attained proficiency in English and one or more world languages by graduation. It symbolizes hard work and accomplishment and is a valuable credential for college applications and future employment opportunities.
Our NYSSB Committee will be providing eligible students with more information regarding the application process, criteria, and timeline.
