OVERVIEW

The prekindergarten learning expectations are becoming increasingly rigorous. As today’s advanced prekindergarten standards continue to develop, it’s more crucial than ever to ensure that our youngest learners receive daily instruction in foundational literacy skills. Literacy is integrated across all subject areas and is evident throughout the Interest Areas in the classrooms. We are proud to offer a full-day preschool program that provides our young learners with a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.

The teachers and staff are dedicated to student progress and achievement. We are concentrating our efforts and energy on continuous assessments in literacy and math. This process will help us gain a clear understanding of where our students are, and to identify the best path forward in their educational journey.

We continue to build on the foundation we started last year with the district’s initiative of implementing the Professional Learning Community framework. This will enable us to further foster a collaborative environment and collective capacity to design and deliver lessons that maximize the likelihood that all students will succeed.
